Crook waterline installation – Crook, CO

Lithos Engineering Waterline Installation Using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) - Crook, Colorado This short time-lapse video shows the installation of a 24-inch, 450 foot long waterline under Interstate-76 near Crook, Colorado. Lithos Engineering provided geotechnical engineering, trenchless design, and construction management services for the Colorado Parks and Wildlife project.

fossil creek pedestrian tunnel

This time lapse shows the overall construction of Lithos Engineering's Fossil Creek Pedestrian Tunnel, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The tunnel is 70 feet long and crosses under a BNSF mainline. The tunnel was constructed using a 14-foot diameter shield system custom built for the project.

rockfall mitigation

Greeley transmission line

Lithos Engineering staff provided design and construction management services for this 1,800 foot tunnel. The tunnel was constructed with an open face TBM and has a curve that was constructed to eliminate a central shaft. This video shows the hole through at the end of the project.

Michigan ditch tunnel

Lithos Engineering provided design services and construction management for rockfall mitigation on Larimer County Road 31 in northern Colorado.

Lithos Engineering This video shows an overview of construction of the Michigan Ditch Tunnel in Jackson County, Colorado. This was a curved, hard rock tunnel constructed with a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). The site is located at 10,500 feet and the two pass tunnel system was designed to convey water behind and below a large landslide that regularly disrupted water supply.
